A warm Welcome from Alan, MD of Cheshire Crystal

Our Aim

Our aim is to deliver to all our clients high quality Crystal and Glassware either as tableware or standalone Awards and Trophies.

The Range

Cheshire Crystal offer a very large range of glassware and crystal, as you will see in our online Shop. All products (except full cut crystal and Gifts) are able to be engraved with your bespoke design. We also offer the services of printing on glass. Printing on glass offers a low cost alternative to glass engraving. Suitable for runs of the same design, it is the ideal medium for Wedding Favours, Corporate Gifts and Club Prizes.

Our customers are typically Clubs (for Sports Trophies), Companies (for Corporate Awards) and the General Public (to commemorate Weddings and Anniversaries). In fact, anyone who needs to present, award or commemorate - anything!

Lead Times

Our standard turnaround time is 10 working days, but more often than not, we can deliver faster. Really urgent orders may include a small surcharge, to pay the engravers some overtime, but, if we say it can be done, it will be done and on time.

Our Team

To deliver this we have a broad virtual team to include design artists, engraving team, preparation and dispatch teams who all  complete the necessary activities to deliver your goods promptly and efficiently.

Specialist Team - Our Engravers

The engraving team consist of a graphic designer, engraver and despatch department. Every member of the team has a high QC ethic and from artwork to finished product, every stage is checked. Artwork proofs are readily available on demand and the team take pride in completing every job to an agreed time.

To Engrave, Print or Paint on Glass or Crystal

Glass engraving is completed using the sandblasting method. Unlike machine or laser engraving, this provides a deep cut with crisp images.

Printing on Glass is accomplished using the pad printing method. Up to four colours are achievable, with the single 'frost' colour being the most popular, due to emulating engraving in colour - it often confuses experts.

Hand Engraving of Crystal is conducted by David Whyman, a world renowned glass artist. David uses a dentist drill and diamond burrs to carve out almost 3 dimensional shapes from the glass surface. Any design is possible, but it is better to take advice on the glass or crystal piece as soon as the artwork ideas can be committed to paper.

David also uses a variety of tools to complete the image. Wood, rubber and cork burrs polish out any required areas - the boots of a jockey or hooves of a horse - anything which is naturally shiny in real life. David's eye for detail has to be seen to be believed. All pieces are signed and will gain in value over the years.

Cheshire Crystal provides Quality Glassware with Quality Service. We do not offer 'free engraving' and don't hide anything else in price structuring either. We do offer discounts for quantities, but it has to be borne in mind that a lot of glass engraving involves hand work. Work which cannot be hurried.

Cheshire Crystal are competitive, if compared to other quality brands. We work in an honest and straightforward way, with attention to our customers needs.

Cheshire Crystal will supply glass engraving service, on any suitable item in their range, to any address in the world. The website will correctly calculate the cost for delivery to any worldwide address.
